Description
Golden plumes that hold their color
Dwarf, uniform plants produce upright golden-yellow plumes that resist fading, providing dependable color throughout the warm season. Their compact habit creates a neat display without taking up much room.
The eye-catching flowers stand out in garden borders, mass plantings, and containers. Tolerant of hot, humid conditions, this celosia is a practical choice for sunny spaces where summer color is needed.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Plant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, choosing a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Space plants 8–12 inches apart to allow airflow.
2. Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while roots establish. Once established, water when the top inch of soil feels dry, avoiding consistently soggy conditions.
3. Pruning: Remove spent plumes to keep plants tidy and encourage continued flowering. Additional pruning is generally unnecessary due to the naturally compact, uniform habit.
4. Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding as fall approaches to prepare the plant for cooler temperatures.
